Cassandra Katsiaficas - www.myspace.com/zaytounajewelry
Cassandra makes things. She makes all sorts of things, like sentences that run on and on long after they probably should have stopped for the sake of efficiency and/or abidance to contemporary principles of composition that she happily ignores for the sake of style and hilarity. She also makes jewelry : http://www.myspace.com/zaytounajewelry, paintings, big plans, decorative furnishings out of found objects, jokes nobody understands, and people uncomfortable with the amount of hair under her arms. She lives a lot, and in Brooklyn.
Leila Ben-Abdallah
Leila Ben-Abdallah is an enthusiast of the third person. She is a recent graduate of the William Esper Studio, Two-Year Meisner Training Program. When she is not acting, she likes to bang on a piano, write poems that no one is ever allowed to read, and sew pretty dresses. She is a member of Live Blaggard Theatre Company with whom she performed and co-wrote, Let That Sh*t Go as part of the NY Frigid Festival. She will be performing sketch comedy with the New York Arab-American Comedy Festival May 5th-9th, 2010. She lives in Brooklyn.
Gregory R. Kozicz
As an artist, Greg wears many hats: painter, writer, actor, singer/songwriter, photographer…he also thoroughly enjoys other headwear including scarves, bandanas, hats of other kinds, and even t-shirt sleeves. Some may say he is a headwear enthusiast. Some may not. Greg has a degree to teach high school English and though not currently teaching, he remains passionate about education. As the wise sage Whitney Houston once sang, “I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way.” Greg has an oddly pointy uvula and lives in a badass loft in Brooklyn with his wife and mistress.
MeKaniKdolls - www.mekanikdolls.com
MeKaniKdolls is a collaboration of artists Jess Ramsay (www.jessramsay.com) and Seyhan Musaoglu (www.seyhanmusaoglu.com). The project had its first beginnings when recording covers in an east village apartment late at night, and was on its way when they spotted an antique super8mm projector. They started working together to execute their interest in performing improvisational, interactive pieces. Since then, they have been performing throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan, Bronx, Long Island City and Istanbul. When they are not performing you might spot them hunting for weird noise-makers and vintage projectors or shooting film with their Bolex. Among their favorite things are film, coffee, circuit boards and experimental recordings on vinyl.
